Position Overview
Our Service Desk require an enthusiastic Service Assistant to join our small, friendly office based in Abingdon.
This is a lively and loud environment and a sense of humour and ability not to take life too seriously are essential – this is not your typical office role. We have an office dog – a Golden Retriever called Gracie who is an integral part of our team so you will need to be pet-friendly.
The ideal candidate will be capable of learning our system with minimal supervision, however training will be provided. You will be a fast learner, organised and show good attention to detail, have great time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks. You will also have the ability to work with individuals across departments and liaise with external customers and contacts.
You will be working in a fast paced and heavily changing environment and you will need to be able to work under pressure to meet demanding targets.
Key Responsibilities – Service Assistant
- First port of call for receiving telephone calls
- Call clients to arrange works
- Raise jobs on the database and issue to engineers
- Respond to client and supplier emails efficiently
- General Helpdesk support
Key Requirements – Finance Assistant
- Previous role(s) involving high levels of customer service – desirable
- High levels of accuracy and attention to detail – essential
- Experience of arranging and assigning work to a field-based workforce – essential
- Strong IT skills, understanding of Microsoft Office and use of databases – essential
