Apprentice Engineer

An opportunity has arisen for an Apprentice Engineer to join our Service and Maintenance team to work on Air Conditioning and Refrigeration systems across a variety of client types and locations.  Full training will be given over the 2-year Apprenticeship which will include day release at Bath College to undertake a City & Guilds Level 2 Diploma in Air Conditioning with the opportunity to move onto a Level 3 Diploma.

A permanent Engineering role will be offered at the end of the Apprenticeship (subject to satisfactory performance).

The Role:

To work alongside mobile engineers on service and maintenance calls on refrigeration & air conditioning systems.

  • Due to the nature of the business working hours working hours vary each day, minimum 40 hours per week. Evening & Weekend work may sometimes be required, as will working away. The candidate needs to be flexible as early morning starts are often necessary.
  • You will be expected to undergo various courses in addition to the City & Guilds Diploma to support your development.

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Administrative Assistant to join our Projects team in our Grove office.

The Role:

  • To support the Project Team with production of quotations, sales agreements and general administration.
  • Raising, amending and closing jobs on industry specific database (full training will be provided).
  • Working with accounts to ensure Projects jobs are invoiced correctly.
  • Liaison with suppliers, customers, engineers and subcontractors, including processing of commissioning sheets.
  • Warranty control.
  • Some diary and travel management.

Experience Requirements:

  • Solid administrative experience and a track record of commitment to a role / company (Essential)
  • Previous role(s) involving high levels of customer service (Desirable)
  • High levels of accuracy and attention to detail (Essential)
  • Strong IT skills, understanding of Microsoft Office and use of databases (Essential)

Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Service Engineer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mobile Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Engineer to join our busy and enthusiastic team. The role will primarily be maintaining and repairing various types of HVAC Refrigeration, within the Commercial & Retail sector. Requirements:

  • PPM/Reactive tasks on air conditioning, refrigeration & ventilation systems and associated works to ensure job completion
  • Inspect installation works; carry out testing and commissioning checks
  • Preventative maintenance servicing
  • Provide service cover during allocated periods of stand-by
  • Complete relevant service documentation and reports Via PDA
  • Ensure activities meet with our Company’s requirements for quality, health and safety, environmental policies and general duty of care

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Sound knowledge and experience of carrying out maintenance and repair on all types of air conditioning & refrigeration systems including split, multi split, VRV/VRF, chillers, walk in cold stores, integrals, Ice machines & ventilation.
    2079 Safe Handling qualification – Essential
  • NVQ 1 & 2 OR Equivalent
  • CSCS cardholder
  • Good interpersonal & communication skills. Flexible approach to work/clients’ requirements. Be prepared to work out of hours from time to time and participate in the call-out rota.
  • Good organization skills and have a positive attitude
  • Flexible approach to travel over specified area
  • This is a mobile role so a full, driving license is essential
